Our Projects
Digital Product Passport
From the pasture to the product: making Mongolian fibre's origin visible, step by step.
We strive to put a Digital Product Passport on all our products, allowing every customer to see not only how a product was made, but where it came from: who the animal belongs to, how the fibre was processed, cleaned and refined, and every step it passed through before it reached your hands. This gives people real insight into the manufacturing process, and gives us full transparency to stand behind.
Built on an existing foundation
During UNCCD COP17 in Ulaanbaatar, we invited the Mongolian National Federation of Pasture User Groups of Herders to our side panel, where we explored how digital traceability can connect Mongolia's rangelands, herders and fibre products. Their existing digital traceability system already records information about livestock, raw materials and their origin, allowing products to be traced back through the supply chain.
We believe a Digital Product Passport can go further. Wollken is building on this existing foundation to create a more comprehensive passport that connects the pasture, the herder, the animal, the fibre, the processing, and the final product — one continuous record from land to garment.
